What a beautiful bank holiday morning it is and at a mere 08.15am.
The sun is just rising and its warm but not hot with a tiny breeze so its ideal weather for Photographing a Family today.
I have photographed Rosie & Phil’s wedding about a year or so ago.
Today they have asked me if I would photograph their new addition to the family, their little boy Thomas.
I felt Privilidged that they had asked me to do this for them.
I used to photograph children as a main p[art of my photography and I particularly enjoyed it.
These days I am a wedding Photographer first and foremost however Children are always good fun, they make me smile (unpredictable too which is fabulous) It definitely keeps you on your toes.
Thomas is gorgeous even if I do say so myslef, He was such a well behaved little person. We picked various spots and locations around the lakes to give a selection of different lighting, backgrounds and poses.
Rosie & Phil are not the run of the mill people to photographat all, They prefer more naturel, fun and off the cuff shots that reflect themselves and their outgoing fun personalities.
Rosie & Phil didnt want the usual posed studio look but something that showed them in a more naturel light, outside running with nature and plenty of pretty backdrops.
I suggested that we use Charlton Lakes in Andover as this time of year, the reflections on the water, the birds, water lilies and backdrops are beautiful.
After we had some lovely family shots and close ups of Thomas, Rosie and phil They soon fell into their usual habbits and started messing around which is great because its so easy to photograph fun loving happy people that are a natural to the camera.
All told we had a very successful photo shoot overall, I am happy with the results.
All we have to do now is narrow it down and chose one photo to print. knowing Rosie and Phil they will never be able to pick just one so it could take a while to narrow it down …….. I wait with a bated breath.
