Amy & Steve’s Winter wedding day
I feel everyone had a little fear of bad weather for this time of year and it certainly didn’t fail us in that department, yup it rained.
What a beautiful start to the day. I met Amy and the Bridal party at the Hawk Inn in Amport village.
The day started wet and chilly and mainly stayed that way all day. However it really didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits.
The Hawk Inn has a very stylish warm and cosy feel to it, so really added to the relaxed feel that this wedding wanted to achieve.
Amy was very relaxed as well as very excited to be marrying her best friend and soul mate Steve.
After a few photographs getting ready, we headed off to the tiny church of St Peters and St Pauls in Kimpton.
I must say it took several drive byes to find this little church when I first went to view it earlier on in the year, its really tucked away. I mean really really tucked away!!!
Anyways, I finally found this quaint church and it didn’t disappoint anyone because it was beautiful inside and out.
The Groom and Groomsmen
We met Steve and the best man at the church and got to the photographs swiftly so that no one got wet and before the bride was due to arrive.
I am always armed with umbrella’s just in case the powers of above decide to throw a few droplets our way, and this time it paid off…
BUT the powers of above definitely still sent plenty of drips!!.
When Amy arrived, I noticed she had forgotten her bouquet so her friend quickly had to hot foot it back to the Hawk Inn to retrieve them, and fast.
luckily it was a only a few minutes away so we were only a few minutes, or as it were ” fashionably” late (although Steve did look at his watch once or twice because its a well known fact that Amy is NEVER late!!!! ooops.
After a beautiful and fun ceremony, (The Vicar of Charlton who is hilarious BTW) we got a chance to grab a quick confetti shot. The rain held off for long enough to get photographs of the Bride and Groom together as well and grab some, ” more intimate” and alone shots. PHEW!
while this was happening the bridal party and guests made their way to the White Horse inn, Thruxton.
We all received a lovely warm welcome from The White Horse Staff. They couldn’t do enough to ensure Amy & Steve’s Wedding went as smoothly and seamlessly as possible. All of the staff were very friendly and professional. The food looked pretty awesome as well.
Q myself to pop back one Sunday lunchtime …Just saying !!
A huge shout out for the beautiful Bouquet and table flowers by Hannah Rose they were stunning. I have had many wedding’s where Hannah has made the bouquets and they are always so gorgeous, and these were no exception.
Before the meal everyone ventured outside. We were losing light very quickly and I still had to photograph some group shots. Luckily the rain was only slight at this point so we managed to get some key Photographs of family and smaller groups.
With it still very cold people were soon to head back inside and hug some radiators.
Cutting The Cake & First Dance
We managed to get some great candid’s inside. The band were out of this world. Sadly I didn’t get a chance to say hi or find out their name!!!!!
Amy & Steve went on to cut the cake and then had their first dance. Then it was then time for us to leave and let the Bride & Groom and their wedding guests have some peace and let their hair down.
All in all what a brilliant day Amy & Steve. We thank you so much for choosing us to share it with you and capture your beautiful memories. All in all a romantically, emotional and beautiful wedding day.
