What a way to start the day?
I knew this wasnt going to be any ordinary wedding day from the start. I have known the Bride and Groom alongside some of the Bridesmaids for a while now so photographing them comes easier because many know me, Knowing your photographer is defiantly key to getting that natural look.
Before The Ceremony
I start off arriving before any hairdressers and Make-up people come so I can play around with some shots of the Bridesmaids without ruining their hair and dresses. I decide to do a couple of fun shots with them all getting ready crammed (and I mean crammed) in the bathroom, ALL 6 of them, After this we move onto one of the bedrooms and do some more mock shots with rollers in the girls hair, but we were all laughing. Good idea of mine to get there that early I thought because I get offered a bacon butty!! ( Result aye…)
I wonder back home and let them all calm down and get ready whilst I prepare my car with all the things I need for the day.
I return early afternoon to find the usual funny antics in the house with so many people getting ready. I know Mum too and she is a real card, soo funny. She took advantage of this by the way. The Bridesmaids were in a gorgeous Purple colour and the flower girl in white with a purple trim, They looked fabulous.
Meeting The Groomsmen
After a while all the Photographs are done and its time to leave the busy little house and wonder down to meet the little more calm but nervous Groom. We meet at the Oak pub in Charlton where I find him steadying his nerves. They are looking very smart indeed. He seems to be much less nervous with his friends around and soon gets in the swing of the photographs. The Groom and Groomsmen were all so much fun, Groomsmen were secretly enjoying the Groom being centre of attention I think. We took some formal and some fun shots while we wait for the Bride to arrive at St Thomas Church. Men safely inside the church its time to greet the Bride.
The Brides Arrival
Here comes the Bride… Who I might add looked STUNNING. Shaunagh arrived in her stretch Limo with Lamborghini doors, Quite some car I might add. We grabbed some lovely shots with her Bridesmaids, Dad and the car before getting her ready at the entrance.
After the ceremony and group photographs we head to the Quality Hotel in Andover. They are very welcoming and the Bride and Groom have some fun with confetti shots and then the Bride throwing the bouquet (lets just say there are a few people that REALLY wanted to catch the bouquet).
The Best Western Hotel Reception
Soon its time for the reception and wedding Buffet, Not so traditional curry for their main meal, I love it when people move away from the norm, Everyone enjoyed their meal and the speeches began, once all the speeches were over and all the nerves had dissipated we went along to cut the cut the cake. The theme here was that of Skulls, It was so tastefully done, The cake looked great, A mix of sponge and cheesecake.
The day went so smoothly I had a great time photographing it, The Bridesmaids looked gorgeous, Groom and Groomsmen looked dapper and the Bride looked Stunning.
After first dance and also the Bride had a dance with Dad it was time for my camera to go away.
Great Day Great People, Great Weather.
